Getting started
Everything you need to go from download to your first scene.
Getting Started with Prowl
Paper
- 1
Install .NET 10
Prowl compiles your scripts with .NET 10, so install the SDK first. You'll also need a reasonably modern graphics card with up-to-date drivers.
Get .NET 10 - 2
Download Prowl
One zip for your system, with the editor inside. Free and MIT licensed.
- 3
Open the editor
Unzip the download and run the Prowl editor.
- 4
Build your first scene
Follow the getting-started video, from an empty project to something moving on screen.
Prowl is in preview. Expect breaking changes before 1.0, and back up your projects before opening them in a new release.
Other ways in.
Build from source
Clone the repo, open Prowl.slnx in Visual
Studio, VS Code or Rider, then build and run Prowl.Editor.
$ git clone https://github.com/ProwlEngine/Prowl Start in code
Reference Prowl.Runtime from your own .NET project and build without the editor.
